Nawabshah Town or Banizirabad home town of Asif Zardari

In Oct 2014 on my way from Rahimyar Khan by train I dropped in Nawabshah for over night stay.

Near the Station I found a decent hotel.The town has number of them of all qualities.I roamed around the town at night and found it pleasant and welcoming.

Good shopping Malls and eating places and Govt building dominate the town.Good hospitals and diagnostic centers can be found in town center.Office of DC is located away from Town Center in a lush green suburb also housing large mansions.

The town emitting from Railway lines is dominated by Urdu speaking migrants,MQM has strong hold on the Town.While suburbs are inhabited by Baloch and Sindhis. 

Tale of two sets of administration:

After Fagr prayers in an imposing Mosque near Railway station I started to walk the Town.As I passed the narrow,congested neighborhoods,I found well organized and clean.Only flag of MQM could be seen and it appeared that the cleanliness is result of some kind of self-help Local Govt.Because as soon I left the town center and entered suburbs the roads became very bad and heaps of garbage was all over.Flags of atleast 8 political parties including PPP could be seen.

Resistance to renaming:

There seemed strong resistance among people at renaming of town to Banizabad.I could not find many admirers of Asif Zardari although it is home town although he lived all his life in Karachi.
