Democracy Zindabad-No to dictatorship.

Memogate has fizzled out and NRO has been indirectly ratified by Asfandar Yar's Pro Democracy Resolution. Democracy is flourishing.

The huge turn out in the Peshawar Jalsa on 26th Jan, of ANP in which democracy was strongly defended sent a very good message. On 27th another massive rally in Karachi by JUI resolved the same faith in democracy.

Finally, military action in North Waziristan (Miran Shah is under curfew since 23^rd Jan) and large rallies point towards a changed Pakistan, in coming days.

The taming of FATA must be followed by completely absorbing it into Pakistan by making each Agency a District within KP. Political parties should rush to the Area to provide choice to the people. Currently only JUI has a presence in the Area.

Opening of FATA for politics:

In my recent visit to South Waziristan I discovered that there is support for ANP, PPP and PTI among people but they are afraid of expressing it by raising Party flag. The ruling Elders mostly JUI supporters have establish their brand of Islam which is not particular liked by the younger generation. They look at envy the life of youth in neighboring TANK , from where Dy. Speaker Mr. Kundi won the last election defeating Maulana Fazalur Rahman.

Loosing TANK to PPP was a big blow to JUI and is an indication of what will happen when other parties are allowed to operate in FATA under the Political Parties Act.

On my visit to Bunnu, the base camp for North Waziristan, while walking to the border, I observed strong support  of Pakhtunkhawa Milli Awami Party and PTI although number of Madarsas were present on the road. Implying that when ever NW opens up other parties are likely to take a good share of votes and current complete domination of JUI will end.

Once democracy is established all over FATA and Education spreads creating useful citizens the current poverty and extremism will fade away. Under the current set up only Religious education is encouraged which do not help find jobs.

·        Thus unemployed youth steal cars from settled areas and sell in FATA. Big religious leaders are found traveling in stolen vehicles without any moral remorse.

·        The guardians of moral value also do not object to taking strong intoxicant like NASWAR which is as strong as Whiskey or Vodka in terms of giving HIGH or generating HEAT.

·        Similarly very early marriages of girls to aged men or wide spread homo sexuality is also not challenged by JUI. Pragmatism rules over cardinal principles of ISLAM.

I challenge Maulana Fazalur Rahman to come out openly on these pressing issues and than see where his popularity will stand. I predict it will melt away.

EDUCATION is the KEY:

BACHA KHAN in 1930s raised the slogan of Education among Pakhtuns as key to solving their backwardness. Today this message is most relevant for FATA. Similarly his non violence stand is the need of the hour. ANP should give immediate attention to this Region as they have the best chance of giving an alternative life style combining education, even for girls, still maintaining PAKHTUNS WALI values of honour.

I have made special request to Leadership of ANP to spell in Public their Manifesto in the next big rally in Karachi next months. In Talk Shows their representatives have committed to:

1.  
Regularization of KATCHI ABADIES and GOTHs,

2.   Land Reform calling for Ceiling of 50 acres per family,

3.   Complete independence of State Bank to control Inflation for ever.

4.  
Progressive tax regime like that of UK or Germany,

5.   Rapid implementation of SAFTA,

6.   Establishment of six Economic Free Zones on Chinese model.

Given that despite massive rallies, PTI has failed to come up with any Economic manifesto. Any party announcing a revolutionary manifesto like the above is likely to take lead in coming elections. Announcement of such a Manifesto will force other parties to revise their existing Manifesto to bring it close to the needs of the time.

Democracy will deliver for sure!

If Democracy continues above mentioned Manifesto will get implemented if not in coming election, one or two election later on. That is the reason why lame excuses of derailing Democracy are being found like the Memo-gate or NRO issue.

People understand this time the conspiracy and are standing by Democracy. They are not impressed by the high intellectual talk of Political actors in the form of TV Anchors or Columnist. Using common sense they know that people friendly policies can only come through Democracy.

They also observe that Imperialist forces are scared of PEOPLE'S power and do not interfere much. But are easily able to twist and compel weak non democratic governments. Like the one which has existed in Pakistan since its creation.

They observe that weak GULF nations can not even dare to invest their savings in any other currency than DOLLARS. Although DOLLAR depreciates heavily against YEN and their investments have lost 70pc value since 1985.

Pakistan is a  controlled Democracy. Where Zardari thinks he is President due to US blessings. Thus we can.not buy the much needed GAS from Iran. We are also not allowed to trade or keep our reserve in any other currency than DOLLARs.

People demand the following:

Once real democracy gets established and people friendly policies get implemented we should be able to have:

1.   Independent Foreign policy-we will not fight others wars.

2.    Independent trade policy-we will trade with any country we like.

3.    We will trade and keep reserves in any currency we like.

4.    We will introduce Land Reforms and settle Katchi Abadies.

5.    We will tax the rich including agriculture income and spare the people.

6.    Make State Bank independent to bring inflation to Zero for ever.

7.    Establish Free trade zones to create jobs all over the Country.

After 3- 4 elections real democracy will get established in Pakistan. Traditional parties and Leaders will be wiped out by mounting tide of people and new Leaders and Manifestos. The amount of information and frame of issues which is going on at the moment the outcome can not be stopped except by establishing Dictatorship again and putting severe censorship on Media.

Vested interests will try their best to do so on many pretexts. People should guard against these conspiracy. They should always remind them self that even the last Dictatorship of the World-Burma is about to change. Whole world be being run as democracy. Progressive Reforms were introduced in Europe one by one which has reduce the gap between Haves and Have Nots to very acceptable level.

Can Imran be next LULU?

In recent time Brazil was transformed by a Working Class leader LULU after many failures and insults he managed to get huge public Mandate. In the case of Pakistan Imran Khan struggled for 15 years and now suddenly he has a huge following. Only if can dare to come up with a Revolutionary Manifesto, change can come even after the next election. All efforts are being made to dilute his thinking. He seem to have fallen in their trap and will be happy just to Rule for some time by forgetting about need Reforms. Probably some other party will deliver after 2-3 election from now. ANP, MQM or proposed REFORM PARTY OF PAKISTAN, being sponsored by Overseas Pakistanis, may emerge as the deliverer. Provided democracy continues the change is inevitable.

So keep your faith in democracy and wait.
